Lovable site not showing on Google? A checklist that finds the reason
Step 1: is it indexed at all?
Type site:yourdomain.com into Google. If pages appear, you are indexed and the question becomes ranking, not visibility. If nothing appears, continue.
Step 2: tell Google the site exists
- Open Google Search Console and add your domain. Verifying needs one DNS record or an HTML tag, and an HTML tag can be added with a Lovable prompt.
- Submit your sitemap address, normally /sitemap.xml. If you have no sitemap, ask Lovable to create one.
- Use URL inspection on your home page and click Request indexing.
- Do the same in Bing Webmaster Tools. Bing's index also feeds several AI assistants and other search engines.
Step 3: check nothing is blocking Google
- Open /robots.txt on your site. It should not contain Disallow: / for all crawlers.
- View the page source and search for noindex. Remove it if present.
- Make sure the site loads without a login or password.
Step 4: check Google can read the content
View the page source, not the inspector. If your text is there, good. If you see an almost empty page with a script tag, you have an older single-page project, which Google indexes more slowly. See is Lovable good for SEO.
Step 5: give Google a reason
A site with no links pointing to it is low on Google's list. Link to it from your social profiles, a Google Business Profile, directories in your field and anywhere you are already mentioned. Use your own domain rather than a lovable.app address so that reputation stays with you.

Common questions
How long does Google take to index a new site?
From a few days to a few weeks. Submitting a sitemap and requesting indexing in Search Console shortens it.
Does the Lovable badge or a lovable.app address stop indexing?
No. Sites on lovable.app can be indexed. A custom domain is about building lasting reputation, not about being allowed in.
