How to get an email address on your Lovable site's domain (you@yourdomain.com)

Is this the same as Lovable's email feature?

No. Lovable Cloud can send automatic emails from your app, such as sign up confirmations and password resets, from a sender address on your domain. That is outgoing only. A mailbox where you read and write email as you@yourdomain.com comes from an email provider.

What are the steps?

1. Pick an email provider. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 are the big paid ones, and several smaller providers and some registrars offer cheaper mailboxes or free forwarding to an address you already have.
2. Add your domain in the provider's setup. It gives you MX records, plus TXT records for SPF and DKIM that stop your mail landing in spam.
3. Add those records where your domain's DNS is managed. Do not remove the A record for @ or the CNAME for www. Those are your website.
4. Wait for the provider to confirm, usually within an hour, then send a test email both ways.

Where is my DNS managed?

Wherever your domain's nameservers point. If you bought the domain at a registrar and added website records there, that is the place. If you bought the domain through Lovely Hosting, DNS is managed for you, so send us the records your email provider gives you and we add them.

What goes wrong?

• Two SPF records. A domain may have only one TXT record starting with v=spf1. Merge them.
• Switching nameservers to the email provider by accident, which takes the website offline. Add records, do not move nameservers.
• Forgetting DKIM, so mail arrives but lands in spam.
